FoodPeel is an informational tool. We scan barcodes, look up ingredients, and provide safety ratings based on publicly available research and regulatory data.
FoodPeel is not medical advice. Our ratings are not diagnoses, prescriptions, or medical recommendations. If you have a specific medical condition, allergy, or dietary restriction, please consult a qualified healthcare professional. FoodPeel is a starting point, not a substitute for professional guidance.

We do our best to keep ratings current. However, food science evolves. Ingredients may be studied further, regulatory stances may change, and new products hit shelves every day. We update our database regularly, but we cannot guarantee that every rating reflects the absolute latest scientific consensus at every moment.

FoodPeel offers a free plan. We mean it — it's free forever, not "free until we decide otherwise."
The free plan includes:
Free plan features may evolve as the product develops. If we ever reduce free plan benefits in a meaningful way, we will give existing free users at least 30 days' notice.
Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually as selected. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel anytime — there are no cancellation fees and no long-term commitments.
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, but if you have an issue, email us at hello@foodpeel.com and we'll work something out.
We work hard to make FoodPeel accurate, reliable, and useful. But we're a small team and the food ingredient landscape is complex. FoodPeel is provided "as is" — we do our absolute best, but we cannot guarantee that our database is complete, that every product is in our system, or that ratings are error-free.
Use FoodPeel as one input among several — your own judgment, your doctor's advice, and your personal dietary needs all matter too.
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Don't share your password. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately at hello@foodpeel.com.
We reserve the right to suspend accounts that abuse the service (e.g., automated scraping, spamming, attempting to circumvent scan limits). We'll always reach out before suspending unless the abuse is severe.
FoodPeel's ratings, database, and content are our work. You can use them personally — screenshot a rating, share it with your family, quote it in a blog post. You just can't scrape or reproduce our database commercially without permission.
We may update these terms as FoodPeel grows. If we make material changes, we'll notify you via email before they take effect. Continued use of FoodPeel after that date means you accept the updated terms.
